The BCEAA is committed to the delivery of the best possible Emergency Medical Service to Berkeley County.  This service is provided by highly professional Career personnel supported by the equipment required to meet the needs of the EMS Delivery System.

*All Classes held at Station 97, located at 85 Sue Court, unless otherwise stated.

*All classes must be preregistered for, or may be cancelled.

Preregistration can be done at the BCEAA Field Office (Telephone: 304-229-0200). 

*Classes required for re-certification will be marked with an asterisk.

Those who are interested in joining the BCEAA must pass an EMS Physical Ability Test. 

Homestead Discount and Vacation Exemption:

If you believe that you qualify for a Homestead Exemption discount or a Vacation Exoneration please print and submit no later than September 30th, 2023. 

Homestead Exemption Form - General Rules for Qualification: All accounts for those applying must be in good standing at the time of application submission. Qualification must have occurred through the Berkeley County Assessor's Office Homestead Process. The application must be submitted no later than September 30th. You may only receive the $25.00 Exemption Reduction for one account (your primary residence). 

Vacation Discount Form - General Rules for Qualification: All accounts for those applying and legally recorded as owner must be in good standing at the time of application submission. The application must be submitted notarized no later than September 30th. We offer FREE OF CHARGE notary services, for this application only within our office when applying in person. Approval is only granted to one unit after all other accounts are paid. An eligible account is one that is not used as a primary residence and occupied or capable of being occupied for the larger part of the year. Examples are Hunting Cabins, River Lots, etc. For questions on your eligibility please visit our office.
