- Registration as a pre-candidate or candidate before soliciting contributions
- Paying the required candidate filing Fees
- Only accepting contributions from allowed sources, and only spending campaign funds on allowed activities
- Filing periodic campaign finance reports
- Properly adding the appropriate disclaimers to campaign advertisements
